Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every prophet or leader has two hidden things within him: one that calls and guides him towards goodness and virtue, and the other is a hidden force that leaves no stone unturned in enmity against him. So whoever remains safe from the hidden enmity is protected from every evil."

Explanation & Benefits

Explanation:
1:
The relevance of this hadith to the Book of Zuhd (Asceticism) and this chapter lies in this very passage:
The meaning is that you (the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and your companions also did not find anything to eat and were afflicted by hunger.
2:
From this hadith, it is understood how extremely straitened a life you (the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and your devoted companions were living.
It is permissible to go to such friends to request hospitality when it is known that they will be pleased by it.
This hadith encourages honoring the guest and expressing gratitude to Allah upon the guest’s arrival.
Similarly, if there is no fear of any fitnah (temptation or trial) at home in the absence of the husband, a woman may welcome her husband’s guests and greet them.

Hafiz Muhammad Ameen
It is understood from this that the success or failure of a leader or ruler depends on his advisors. If the advisors are good, the ruler will remain good; and if the advisors are bad, the ruler will also become bad, even if he is good in himself. This is the meaning of the last sentence: that the ruler will be counted among the type of advisors who predominate over him; his own personal qualities will not be taken into consideration. Experience also testifies to this, as some bad rulers have gained a good reputation due to good advisors. For example, the appointment of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz rahimahullah at the hands of Sulayman ibn Abd al-Malik is an achievement of a good advisor.
