حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ اللَّخْمِيُّ الأَنْبَارِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي صَدَقَةَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا عِمْرَانُ ، قُلْتُ : لَبَّيْكَ ، قَالَ : قُلْ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَهْدِيكَ لأَرْشَدِ أُمُورِي ، وَأَسْتَجِيرُكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، إِلا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بَصْرِيٌّ ثِقَةٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: “O Imran!” I replied: Yes, I am present. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Say «اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْتَهْدِيكَ لِأَرْشَدِ أُمُورِي وَأَسْتَجِيرُكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي» ‘O Allah! I seek guidance from You for my affairs and I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul.’”
