حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ بَهْمُرْدَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُسْتَمِرِّ الْعُرُوقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْتَوْرِدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ أَبُو هَمَّامٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَجُلٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، " مَا تَرَكْتُ مِنْ حَاجَةٍ وَلا دَاجَةٍ إِلا أَتَيْتُ عَلَيْهَا ، قَالَ : أَلَيْسَ تَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ ، وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : فَإِنَّ هَذَا يَأْتِي عَلَى ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ ، إِلا مُسْتَوْرِدٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَبُو عَاصِمٍ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: A man said, "I have not left any sin, whether small or great." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do you bear witness that there is no deity except Allah and that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Yes." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "This thing overcomes all of them."
