Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw a man who was afflicted with a calamity, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Perhaps you prayed to your Lord to hasten the calamity upon you?" He said: Yes! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not ask your Lord for well-being? You should have said: ﴿رَبَّنَاآتِنَافِيالدُّنْيَاحَسَنَةًوَفِيالْآخِرَةِحَسَنَةًوَقِنَاعَذَابَالنَّارِ﴾ 'Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and save us from the punishment of the Fire.'"

´Anas bin Malik narrated that:` The Prophet (ﷺ) visited a man who was so emaciated that he had become like a baby bird. He (ﷺ) said to him: “And did you not used to supplicate? Did you not used to ask Your Lord for sound health?” He said: “I used to say: “O Allah, whatever You are going to punish me with in the Hereafter, then hasten it for me in this world.” So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Glory is to Allah, you are not capable of that” – or – “you are not able to stand that. Would you not say: ‘O Allah, give us good in this world, and good in the Hereafter, and spare us the punishment of the Fire (Allāhumma ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanatan wa fil ākhirati ḥasanatan wa qinā `adhāban-nār).’”
