Statement about completing ablution
Hadith 88
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ التَّمِيمِيُّ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ مُصْعَبُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ سِقْلابٍ ، عَنِ الْوَازِعِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : " كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ قَدْ تَوَضَّأَ ، وَفِي قَدَمِهِ مَوْضِعٌ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ الْمَاءُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اذْهَبْ فَأَتِمَّ وُضُوءَكَ "، فَفَعَلَ لا يُرْوَى عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ سِقْلابٍ
Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came who had performed ablution, but there was a spot on his foot that the water had not reached. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Go and complete your ablution." So he did so.
