Description of the best tribes in the sight of Allah
Hadith 841
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُطَرِّفِ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ كَانَ جُهَيْنَةُ ، وَمُزَيْنَةُ ، وَأَسْلَمُ ، وَغِفَارٌ خَيْرًا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَسَدٍ ، وَغَطَفَانَ وَمِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ ، هَلْ خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا ؟ ، قَالُوا : نَعَمْ ، فَإِنَّ جُهَيْنَةَ ، وَمُزَيْنَةَ ، وَأَسْلَمَ ، وَغِفَارًا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَسَدٍ ، وَغَطَفَانَ ، وَمِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ ، إِلا أَبُو الْمُطَرِّفِ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ ، وَاسْمُهُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tell me, if the tribes of Juhainah, Muzainah, Aslam, and Ghifar are better in the sight of Allah than Asad, Ghatafan, and Banu Amir bin Sa'sa'ah, will the latter (the ones mentioned last) remain unsuccessful and deprived?" The noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "Yes, because Juhainah, Muzainah, Aslam, and Ghifar are better than Asad, Ghatafan, and Banu Amir bin Sa'sa'ah."
