Description of kissing between the two eyes
Hadith 827
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مُسَرِّحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، بِحَرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مُسَرِّحٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ مِسْعَرِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَدِمَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ ، " فَقَبَّلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : مَا أَدْرِي أَنَا بِقُدُومِ جَعْفَرٍ أُسَرُّ ، أَمْ بِفَتْحِ خَيْبَرَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ ، إِلا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ
Sayyiduna Awn bin Abi Juhaifah narrates from his father that Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) came from the land of Abyssinia, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissed the area between his eyes and said: "I do not know whether I am more pleased with the coming of Ja'far or with the conquest of Khaybar."
