Explanation of three rights of a slave over his master
Hadith 738
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ هِشَامٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "لِلْمَمْلُوكِ عَلَى سَيِّدِهِ ثَلاثُ خِصَالٍ : لا يُعَجِّلُهُ عَنْ صَلاتِهِ ، وَلا يُقِمْهُ عَنْ طَعَامِهِ ، وَيُشْبِعُهُ كُلَّ الإِشْبَاعِ "، يُرْوَى عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ وَلَدُهُ عَنْهُ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A slave has three rights over his master: he should not be hurried from his prayer, he should not be made to get up from his food, and he should not be overburdened with work."
