Explanation of being the companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him) on the Day of Judgment
Hadith 711
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَدُوعِيُّ ، الْجَذُوعِيُّ الْقَاضِي ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجُنْدِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " أَوْصَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : يَا أَنَسُ ، أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ يُزَدْ فِي عُمْرِكَ ، وَسَلِّمْ عَلَى مَنْ لَقِيتَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي تَكْثُرْ حَسَنَاتُكَ ، وَإِذَا دَخَلْتَ بَيْتَكَ فَسَلِّمْ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِكَ وَصَلِّ صَلاةَ الضُّحَى ، فَإِنَّهَا صَلاةُ الأَوَّابِينَ ، وَارْحَمِ الصَّغِيرَ وَوَقِّرِ الْكَبِيرَ تَكُنْ مِنْ رُفَقَائِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، إِلا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجُنْدِ ، وَلا عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ، إِلا مُسَدَّدٌ ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me, so he said: "O Anas! Perform ablution completely, your life will be prolonged. Greet everyone you meet from my Ummah, your good deeds will increase. And when you enter your house, greet your family. And perform the Duha prayer, for it is the prayer of the penitent. Show mercy to the young and honor the elders, and you will be among my companions on the Day of Resurrection."
