Glad tidings of different ranks in Paradise for three people
Hadith 710
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَصَّاصُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ رَوْحِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ يَخَامِرٍ ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "أَنَا زَعِيمٌ بِبَيْتٍ فِي رَبَضِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَبَيْتٍ فِي وَسَطِ الْجَنَّةِ ، وَبَيْتٍ فِي أَعْلَى الْجَنَّةِ لِمَنْ تَرَكَ الْمِرَاءَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مُحِقًّا ، وَتَرَكَ الْكَذِبَ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَازِحًا ، وَحَسُنَ خُلُقُهُ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ رَوْحٍ ، إِلا عِيسَى ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ابْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever gives up arguing despite being in the right, refrains from lying even in jest, and improves his character and habits, I guarantee for him a house on the outskirts of Paradise, a house in the middle of Paradise, and a house in its highest part."
