حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ شَاهِينَ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، بِبَغْدَادَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبُرْكِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لأَشَجِّ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ : " إِنَّ فِيكَ خَصْلَتَيْنِ يُحِبُّهُمَا اللَّهُ : الْحِلْمُ وَالأَنَاةُ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ قُرَّةَ ، إِلا بِشْرٌ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ashajj ‘Abdul Qais: “You possess two qualities which Allah loves: forbearance and calmness/gentleness.”
