حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ الْعَسْقَلانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ أَبُو مَالِكٍ النَّخَعِيُّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعَ رَجُلا يَقُولُ لِلآخَرِ : " يَا شَاهَانْشَاهُ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اللَّهُ مَلِكُ الْمُلُوكِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ ، إِلا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ آدَمُ
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a man saying to another: "O King of Kings!" So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah, the Exalted, is Al-Malik al-Muluk, that is, the King of Kings."

The word "Akhna" means extremely worst, extremely vile. The worst and most vile name is that people call someone "King of Kings." Those who bear such names will be the worst people on the Day of Resurrection.

In this hadith, one of the attributes of Allah Ta'ala is mentioned, and that is «ملك الا ملاك», which in Urdu is called "Shahenshah" (Sovereign/King of Kings). That is, even the wealthiest person in the world should not be called "Shahenshah"; only Allah Ta'ala is the true Shahenshah. Furthermore, it is not permissible to interpret (ta'wil), liken (tashbih), specify the modality (takyeef), or deny (ta'til) the attributes of Allah Ta'ala.
