حَدَّثَنَا مَسِيحُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْعَتَكِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ ، قَالَ : خَطَبَ الْمَأْمُونُ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَيَاءَ فَأَكْثَرَ ، ثُمّ قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ زَاذَانَ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ ، وَعِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ ، قَالا : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ ، وَالإِيمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ ، وَالْبَذَاءُ مِنَ الْجَفَاءِ ، وَالْجَفَاءُ فِي النَّارِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الْمَأْمُونِ ، إِلا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ
Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah and Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them) report: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Modesty is part of faith, and faith will lead to Paradise; and foul speech is bad character, and bad character will lead to the Fire.”
