Explanation of eating bread with dates
Hadith 640

وَبِهِ وَبِهِ عَنْ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ الْخُبْزَ بِالتَّمْرِ ، وَيَقُولُ : هَذَا إِدَامُ هَذَا "
It is narrated from our master Zaid, may Allah be pleased with him, with the same chain, he says: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to eat bread with dates, and would say: "This is its condiment."
