Benefits and Issues: Benefit: If the owner of a garden or a trader knows that the buyers will make wine from those grapes or similar things, then it is not permissible to sell them or to assist in any other way. Allah’s statement is: (وَلَاتَعَاوَنُواعَلَىالْإِثْمِوَالْعُدْوَانِ ۚ) ( al-Ma’idah: 2) Translation: Do not help one another in sin and transgression.
