Description of kissing the corner during Tawaf
Hadith 450
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُقَدَّمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ فَرَغْنَا مِنَ الطَّوَافِ بِالْبَيْتِ : "كَيْفَ صَنَعْتَ يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ فِي اسْتِلامِ الرُّكْنِ ؟ ، قُلْتُ : اسْتَلَمْتُ ، وَتَرَكْتُ ، قَالَ : أَصَبْتَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، إِلا الْقَاسِمُ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُقَدَّمٌ
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When we finished the circumambulation of the Sacred House (Baytullah), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Abu Muhammad! What did you do regarding kissing the Rukn?" I replied: I kissed it and then left it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You did well."
