حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْهَارُونَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ الْكُوفِيُّ ، بِبَغْدَادَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ الآدَمَيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ مِهْرَانَ الدَّبَّاغُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ "نزل مَرَّ الظَّهْرَانِ ، فَأُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُضْوُ ظَبْيٍ ، فَرَدَّهُ عَلَى الرَّسُولِ ، وَقَالَ : اقْرَأْ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامَ ، وَقُلْ لَهُ : لَوْلا أَنَّا حُرُمٌ مَا رَدَدْنَاهُ عَلَيْكَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، إِلا حَمَّادُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ ابْنُ الدَّبَّاغِ
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) camped at Marr az-Zahran, and a pair of deer was presented to him as a gift. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned them to the messenger and said: “Convey our greetings to them, for we are in the state of Ihram. If we were not in Ihram, we would not have returned them.”
