Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
English Commentary:
1:
Because Sa'id bin 'Amir is unique in narrating this through the chain “from Shu'bah, from 'Abdul-'Aziz bin Suhaib, from Anas,”
while other students of Shu'bah have contradicted him.
They have narrated it through the chain “from Shu'bah, from 'Asim al-Ahwal, from Hafsah bint Sirin, from Salman bin 'Amir,”
and the students of 'Asim al-Ahwal, such as Sufyan al-Thawri, Ibn 'Uyaynah, and others, have also narrated it in this manner.
2:
That is, Ibn 'Awn in his narration said “from al-Rabab” instead of “from Umm al-Rawa’ih bint Sula’i,”
and al-Rabab is none other than Umm al-Rawa’ih; in fact, both are the same woman.
Note:
(In the chain, Sa'id bin 'Amir is weak in memorization, and he has erred in this chain as well.
