Description of missing the Ramadan prayer (wazifa)
Hadith 370
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ نَصْرٍ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ التِّرْمِذِيُّ الْفَقِيهُ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصِّينِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، إِذَا فَاتَهُ شَيْءٌ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ قَضَاهُ فِي عَشْرِ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، إِلا قَيْسٌ ، وَلا يُرْوَى عَنْ عُمَرَ ، إِلا بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: When any Ramadan duty was missed by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would make it up in the first ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah.
