حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَسْبَاطِ بْنِ السَّكَنِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ الْخُوَارِزْمِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ أَبِي الْمُسَاوِرِ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : "مَا صُمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا صُمْنَا مَعَهُ ثَلاثِينَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ ، إِلا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ صَالِحٌ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We observed twenty-nine days of fasting with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) more often than thirty days of fasting.
