Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) perform six rak‘ahs after Maghrib, so I said: Father! What prayer is this? He said: I saw my beloved, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), perform six rak‘ahs after Maghrib and he said: “Whoever prays six rak‘ahs after Maghrib, his sins are forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.”

´Abu Hurairah narrated that:` Allah's Messenger (S) said: "Whoever prays six Rak'ah after Al-Maghrib, and he does not speak about anything between them, then they will be counted for him as twelve years of worship."
Shaykh Dr. Abdur Rahman Freywai
Commentary: Note: (In the chain of narration, Umar bin Abdullah bin Abi Khuth'am is an extremely weak narrator.)

´It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:` “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘Whoever prays six Rak’ah after the Maghrib and does not speak evil between them, they will be made equivalent to twelve years’ worship.’”
Maulana Ataullah Sajid
Benefits and Issues: Some people refer to this prayer as Salat al-Awwabeen. The correct view is that Salat al-Awwabeen is another name for the Duha prayer (Salat al-Duha). As is stated in the Prophetic narration (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam): (Salatu al-Awwabeena heena tarmadu al-fisal) (Sahih Muslim, Salat al-Musafirin, Chapter: The Prayer of the Oft-Returning (Awwabeen) When the Hooves of the Young Camels are Scorched, Hadith: 748) “The prayer of those who turn to Allah (Awwabeen) is at the time when the hooves of the young camels begin to burn (from the heat of the sand).” Both of the aforementioned narrations are weak. Therefore, both are not valid as proof. The explanation of the Duha prayer (Salat al-Duha) is coming ahead.
