Hadith 28
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدَوَيْهِ الصَّفَّارُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : فَقَدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ فِرَاشِهِ ، فَقُلْتُ : " إِنَّهُ قَامَ إِلَى جَارِيَتِهِ مَارِيَةَ ، فَقُمْتُ أَلْتَمِسُ الْجِدَارَ ، فَوَجَدْتُهُ قَائِمًا يُصَلِّي ، فَأَدْخَلْتُ يَدَيَّ فِي شَعْرِهِ لأَنْظُرَ اغْتَسَلَ أَمْ لا ، فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ ، قَالَ : أَخْذَكَ شَيْطَانُكِ يَا عَائِشَةُ ، قُلْتُ : وَلِي شَيْطَانٌ ؟ ، فَقَالَ : نَعَمْ ، وَلِجَمِيعِ بَنِي آدَمَ ، قُلْتُ : وَلَكَ شَيْطَانٌ ؟ ، فَقَالَ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، إِلا فَرَجُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: One night I found the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) absent from his bed, so I thought he must have gone to his slave woman Maria. So I got up and started feeling along the wall, and I saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing and performing prayer. So I put my hand in the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to see whether he had performed ghusl or not. When he finished, he said: "O Aisha! Has your devil seized you?" I said: O Messenger of Allah! Do I also have a devil? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! Every son of Adam has a devil." I said: Even you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes! Even I have a devil, but Allah has helped me against him, so I am safe from him."
