Hadith 261
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، أن النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : "يَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلاةَ ، فَصَلِّ الصَّلاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ، وَاجْعَلْ صَلاتَكَ مَعَهُمْ نَافِلَةً "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ يُونُسَ ، إِلا الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ حَجَّاجٌ
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will be some rulers over you who will delay the prayer, so you should perform your prayer at its (prescribed) time, then the prayer you perform with them will be considered voluntary (nafl)."
