Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Tanning leather is its purification."

Narrated Aishah, Ummul Muminin: The Prophet ﷺ ordered that the skins of the animals which had died a natural death should be used when they are tanned.

Benefits and Issues: If a lawful (halal) animal dies (i.e., becomes a carcass), its skin becomes pure by tanning.

´It was narrated from 'Aishah that:` the Messenger of Allah ordered that the hides of dead animals be made use of if they had been tanned. (Daif)

(2) “He commanded” means he granted permission and concession. It is possible that the command itself is intended, because permission to waste wealth is not given.
