Hadith Commentary:
To be granted the vision of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in a dream is a great fortune; congratulations to those who have attained this blessed spiritual wealth.
Allahumma, grant us his intercession on the Day of Resurrection. Ameen, O Lord of the worlds.

Hadith Commentary:
➊
Allah Almighty protected the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) from satanic influences in this world, and likewise, after his departure from this world, the requirements of his infallibility and sanctity dictate that his blessed person remains pure and free from all such intrusions.
➋
From the aforementioned ahadith, it is understood that if someone sees the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in a dream, then in reality, he has seen the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself. However, there are some details regarding this, as follows:
©.
Whoever saw the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in a dream during his blessed era would soon see him in wakefulness, as is implied by the meaning of the first hadith.
Allah Almighty would grant him the ability to migrate, and then he would be honored with meeting the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), or in the Hereafter, he would be granted a special vision and intercession.
Satan does not have the power to imitate the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), just as in the state of wakefulness Satan was not able to assume the form of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), likewise, Allah Almighty has forbidden him from doing so in dreams, so that truth is not mixed with falsehood.

Even after the era of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), it is possible to see him in a dream, but it is necessary that the one seeing him in a dream is familiar with the luminous face, the beautiful and handsome stature, the unparalleled features, the unique gait, the dignified presence, and the attractive personality of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) as described to us in words.
Imam Bukhari rahimahullah has alluded to this reality by referencing Imam Ibn Sirin rahimahullah.
If someone would say to him that he saw the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in a dream, he would ask about the blessed appearance.
If the person described an appearance that bore no resemblance to what is found in the ahadith, he would clearly state that you have not seen the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).

It is an accepted fact that Satan cannot assume the form of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in a dream, but it is possible that he comes in another form and assures the dreamer that he is the Messenger of Allah.
In such a situation, the person who has seen the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) with his own eyes in his lifetime, or who is familiar with his blessed appearance, will not be deceived, but an ordinary person who has no acquaintance with the blessed appearance of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) can certainly be deceived.
In such a case, if in the dream a command is given that outwardly contradicts Islamic teachings, then it should not be given any attention whatsoever, because Islam is complete and such a dream has no legal status in Shariah.
➌
It should be noted that if anyone wishes to see the captivating beauty and charm of the blessed appearance of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) in words, he should study the work of Shaykh Ibrahim bin Abdullah Hazimi, "Al-Rasul Ka'annaka Tarahu."
The undersigned has translated it into Urdu under the name "Aina-e-Jamal-e-Nubuwwat," and Darussalam has published it in a very beautiful manner.

At this point, it is also necessary to clarify that in this world of color and scent, it is not possible to see Allah Almighty in a state of wakefulness or in a dream. However, the Prophets (alayhimussalam) attained perfect knowledge of Allah, and on this basis, they can see Allah Almighty in a dream in this world, as Abdullah ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu narrated from the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) that he saw his Lord in a beautiful form during sleep and felt its coolness in his chest.
(Musnad Ahmad: 1/368)
A similar narration is also reported from Mu'adh ibn Jabal radi Allahu anhu (Jami' al-Tirmidhi, Tafsir al-Qur'an, Hadith: 3235).
Apart from the Prophets (alayhimussalam), it is questionable for other righteous and pious people to see the Lord of the worlds in a dream.
No authentic hadith has been reported in this regard.
Under the guise of baseless narrations, those who are slaves to their desires have found a loophole to escape from Shariah, which they call "mukashafat" (spiritual unveilings) in their terminology. Therefore, extreme caution is required in this matter.
And Allah knows best.
