Hadith 1146

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الْبَصْرِيُّ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَرِينُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ قَرِينٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "لا هَمَّ إِلا هَمُّ الدَّيْنِ ، وَلا وَجَعَ إِلا وَجَعُ الْعَيْنِ "، لا يَرْوِيهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ، إِلا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ سَهْلُ بْنُ قَرِينٍ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no sorrow and worry except the sorrow of religion, and there is no pain except the pain of the eye."
