Description of five things for which the gates of heaven are opened
Hadith 1105
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْفٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : "تُفْتَحُ أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ لِخَمْسٍ : لِقِرَاءَةِ الْقُرْآنِ ، وَلِلِقَاءِ الزَّحْفَيْنِ ، وَنُزُولِ الْقَطْرِ ، وَلِدَعْوَةِ الْمَظْلُومِ ، وَالأَذَانِ "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ ، إِلا حَفْصٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَوْفٍ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The gates of the heavens are opened for five things: (1) for the recitation of the Noble Qur’an, (2) at the time of battle between two groups, (3) at the time of rainfall, (4) for the supplication of the oppressed, (5) for the call to prayer (adhan).”
