Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: I recited this verse before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “Allah is He Who created you from weakness,” so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Recite it as: ‘min du‘f’.” And I recited: “Then He made after weakness strength,” so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Recite it like this: ‘thumma ja‘ala min ba‘di du‘fin quwwah’” (al-Rum: 54).

Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Atiyyah ibn Saad al-Awfi said: I recited to Abdullah ibn Umar the verse: "It is Allah Who created you in a state of (helplessness) weakness (min da'f).
