حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْعَدَّاسُ الْمِصْرِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَرَأَ " فِي عَيْنٍ حَمِئَةٍ سورة الكهف آية 86 "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، إِلا حَمَّادٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَبُو صَالِحٍ
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited: "fi ‘aynin hami’ah" meaning "in a spring of mud."

Explanation:
1:
This is the well-known recitation,
that is:
﴿حَمِئَةٍ﴾ with a ḥā’ followed by no alif,
whereas some reciters have the recitation (حَامِئَةٍ), that is, with a ḥā’ followed by an alif without a hamzah.
In any case, the meaning is:
And he found the sun setting in a spring of muddy water.
(al-Kahf: 86)
Note:
(In the chain of narration, Sa‘d ibn Aws would make mistakes,
and Musda‘ is weak in hadith,
but the text of this hadith is established through other chains.)
