Hadith 1029
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَصْرِيُّ النِّبْلِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُهَلَّبُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ بَيَانٍ الصَّفَّارُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، سَمِعْتُ سِمَاكَ بْنَ حَرْبٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، يَقُولُ : "مثل الْمُدَاهِنِ فِي أَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَالْقَائِمِ فِي حُقُوقِ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ قَوْمٍ رَكِبُوا سَفِينَةً فَأَصَابَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ مَكَانًا ، فَقَالَ : يَا هَؤُلاءِ ، طَرِيقُكُمْ وَمَمَرُّكُمْ عَلِيُّ ، وَإِنِّي ثَاقِبٌ ثُقْبًا هَا هُنَا فَأَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ وَأَسْتَقِي مِنْهُ وَأَقْضِي فِيهِ حَاجَتِي ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : فَإِنْ هُمْ تَرَكُوهُ هَلَكَ وَأَهْلَكَهُمْ ، وَإِنْ أَخَذُوا عَلَى يَدَيْهِ نَجَا وَنَجَوْا "، لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ ، إِلا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ الصَّفَّارِ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُهَلَّبُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ
Sayyiduna Nu’man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with both of them) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “The example of the one who is lenient regarding Allah’s matters and the one who upholds Allah’s rights is like a people who boarded a boat. One man found a place and said: ‘This is your path and your passage is over me. I will make a hole here, then I will perform ablution from this hole and take water from there, and in this way fulfill my need.’” Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If they leave him to make the hole, he will destroy himself and all of them as well. But if they take hold of his hand, he will be saved and all of them will be saved.”
