Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: My beloved (peace and blessings be upon him) advised me that in matters concerning Allah, the blame of any critic should not prevent me from doing any good deed, and that I should look towards those who are lower than me and not towards those who are above me, and he advised me to love the poor and to be close to them. And he advised me to speak the truth even if it is bitter, and he instructed me to maintain ties of kinship even if they turn away, and he advised me not to ask anything from anyone, and that I should recite «لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللّٰهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ» frequently, for it is among the treasures of Paradise.
