وَبِهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : «مَنْ سَتَرَ حُرْمَةَ مُؤْمِنٍ سَتَرَهُ اللهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ».
And with it, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: «مَنْ سَتَرَ حُرْمَةَ مُؤْمِنٍ سَتَرَهُ اللهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ».

حَدَّثَنَا حُبَابُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حُبَابٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ، بِالْبَصْرَةِ [ فِي الْبَصْرَةِ ] ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصٍ التُّومَنِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَّامُ بْنُ أَبِي خُبْزَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي الْقَصَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَمْشِي مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، فَمَرَّ عَلَى قَوْمٍ قَدْ نَصَبُوا طَائِرًا اتَّخَذُوهُ غَرَضًا ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : لَعَنَ اللهُ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا ، سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَى عَنْ هَذَا . ¤ لَمْ يُسْنِدُ دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْقَصَّاقِ حَدِيثًا غَيْرَ هَذَا ، وَهُوَ بَصْرِيٌّ مِنَ الثِّقَاتِ الصَّالِحِينَ .
Hubab ibn Muhammad ibn Hubab al-Tustari narrated to us, in Basra [ فِي الْبَصْرَةِ ], ‘Uthman ibn Abi Hafs al-Tumani narrated to us, Sallam ibn Abi Khubzah narrated to us, Dawud ibn Abi al-Qassaq narrated to us, Sa‘id ibn Jubayr narrated to me, he said: I was walking with Ibn ‘Umar, and he passed by a group of people who had set up a bird and taken it as a target. Ibn ‘Umar said: May Allah curse the one who did this; I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, forbidding this.
Dawud ibn al-Qassaq did not transmit any hadith other than this, and he is a trustworthy and righteous Basran.

حَدَّثَنَا حَبَابُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ الْمُعَدِّلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ النَّشَائِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَيْرُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ الْحَنَفِيُّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : ”إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ أَنْ أُزَوِّجَ كَرِيمَتَيَّ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ - رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ -“ . ¤ لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ إِلَّا عُمَيْرٌ ، تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ .
Habab ibn Salih al-Wasiti al-Mu‘addil narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Harb al-Nasha’i narrated to us, ‘Umair ibn ‘Imran al-Hanafi narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, from ‘Ata’, from Ibn ‘Abbas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, who said: “Indeed, Allah the Exalted revealed to me that I should marry my two noble daughters to ‘Uthman—may Allah be pleased with him—.”
No one narrated it from Ibn Jurayj except ‘Umair; Muhammad ibn Harb is alone in narrating it.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو ذُهْلٍ عُبَيْدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْقَارِيُّ الْعَسْقَلَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ التُّنُوخِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ : كَانَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ يَتَهَادَوْنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ -صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ- صِلَةً بَيْنَهُمْ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ -صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ- : لَوْ قَدْ أَسْلَمَ النَّاسُ لَتَهَادَوْا مِنْ غَيْرِ فَاقَةٍ . ¤ - لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ إِلَّا سَعِيدٌ . تَفَرَّدَ بِهِ أَبُو الْجُمَاهِرِ .
Abu Dhuhl Ubayd ibn Muhammad al-Qari al-Asqalani narrated to us, Abu al-Jamahir Muhammad ibn Uthman al-Tanukhi narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Bashir narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik who said: The Muslims used to exchange gifts during the time of the Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him and his family—as a means of maintaining ties among themselves. The Messenger of Allah—peace and blessings be upon him and his family—said: "If the people were to embrace Islam, they would exchange gifts without need."
— It was not narrated from Qatadah except by Sa'id. Abu al-Jamahir is alone in narrating it.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ نَاصِحٍ السُّرْمَرِيُّ بِسُرْمَرَى ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ أَبَا سُلَيْمَانَ الْعَصَرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ صُهْبَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : يُحْمَلُ النَّاسُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، فَتَتَقَادَعُ بِهِمْ جَنَبَتَا الصِّرَاطِ تَقَادُعَ الْفَرَاشِ فِي النَّارِ ، فَيُنَجِّي اللهُ بِرَحْمَتِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ . ثُمَّ يُؤْذَنُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّبِيِّينِ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ فَيَشْفَعُونَ وَيُشَفَّعُونَ ، وَيُخْرِجُ اللهُ كُلَّ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ . ¤ - لَمْ يَرْوِهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ إِلَّا بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ .
Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Nasih al-Surmarri in Surmara narrated to us, Affan ibn Muslim narrated to us, Sa'id ibn Zayd narrated to us, he said: I heard Abu Sulayman al-'Asari narrate from 'Uqbah ibn Suhban, Abu Bakrah narrated to us from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family:
People will be carried on the Day of Resurrection, and the two sides of the Sirat will strike at them like the striking of moths in the fire. Then Allah will save by His mercy whomever He wills. Then permission will be given to the angels, the prophets, and the martyrs, and they will intercede and their intercession will be accepted, and Allah will bring out everyone in whose heart there is the weight of a mustard seed of faith.
- It was not narrated from Abu Bakrah except through this chain.
