Hadith 6265
وَعَن قيس بن حَازِم قَالَ: كَانَ عَطَاءُ الْبَدْرِيِّينَ خَمْسَةُ آلَافٍ. وَقَالَ عُمَرُ: لَأُفَضِّلَنَّهُمْ على مَنْ بَعدَهم. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ
Qais b. Abu Hazim told that the grant to those who were present at Badr was five thousand each and that `Umar said, "I shall certainly give them precedence over those who come after them." Bukhari transmitted it.
