The Book of Merits
(فَرْمَانٌ نَبَوِيٌّ: حُسَيْنٌ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْ حُسَيْنٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا)
(Prophetic saying: Husayn is from me, and I am from Husayn, may Allah be pleased with them)
Hadith 6169
وَعَن يعلى بن مرَّة قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «حُسَيْنٌ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْ حُسَيْنٍ أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ أَحَبَّ حُسَيْنًا حُسَيْنٌ سِبَطٌ مِنَ الأسباط» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Ya'la b. Murra reported God's messenger as saying, "Husain pertains to me and I to him. May God love him who loves Husain! Husain is a grandson." Tirmidhi transmitted it.
