The Book of Merits
(حَضْرَةُ عَلِيٍّ وَفَاطِمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَقْرَبُ النَّاسِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)
(Hazrat Ali and Fatima, may Allah be pleased with them, are the closest people to the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him)

Hadith 6155
وَعَنْ جُمَيْعِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ مَعَ عَمَّتِي عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَسَأَلْتُ: أَيُّ النَّاسِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَتْ: فَاطِمَةُ. فَقِيلَ: مِنَ الرِّجَالِ؟ قَالَتْ: زَوْجُهَا إِنْ كَانَ مَا عَلِمْتُ صَوَّامًا قَوَّامًا. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
Jumai' b. `Umair said: I went in with my paternal aunt to visit `A'isha and asked who was dearest to God's messenger. When she replied that it was Fatima, she was asked who was dearest among men and replied that it was her husband. Tirmidhi transmitted it.
