Hadith 5332
It is narrated from Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that he began to weep. He was asked, "What is making you weep?" He said: "That which I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when I remembered it, it made me weep. I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'I fear for my Ummah from shirk and hidden desires.'" The narrator states: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Will your Ummah commit shirk after you?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, but they will not worship the sun or the moon, nor stones or idols. Rather, they will show off their deeds, and the hidden desire is that one of them will begin the morning fasting, but then a desire from among his desires will come before him, so he will break his fast." Weak, narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
