Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(اللَّهُ تَعَالَى يُذِلُّ المُرَائِي يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ)
(Allah Almighty will humiliate the hypocrite on the Day of Judgment)
Hadith 5319
وَعَن عبد الله بن عَمْرو أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ سَمَّعَ النَّاسَ بِعَمَلِهِ سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَسَامِعَ خَلْقِهِ وَحَقَّرَهُ وَصَغَّرَهُ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيّ فِي «شعب الْإِيمَان»
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Amr, may Allah be pleased with him, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever shows off his deeds to people, Allah will make it heard to His creation, and He will humiliate and disgrace him." Sahih, narrated by Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
