Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(اللَّهُ تَعَالَى يَرْفُضُ المُشْرِكَ مَعَ شِرْكِهِ)
(Allah Almighty rejects the polytheist along with their polytheism)
Hadith 5315
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: أَنَا أَغْنَى الشُّرَكَاءِ عَنِ الشِّرْكِ مَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا أَشْرَكَ فِيهِ مَعِي غَيْرِي تَرَكْتُهُ وَشِرْكَهُ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: فَأَنَا مِنْهُ بَرِيءٌ هُوَ لِلَّذِي عَمِلَهُ . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty says: I am the most independent of all partners from shirk (associating partners with Me); whoever does an action in which he associates someone else with Me, I abandon him and his shirk." In another narration: "I am free from him (the one who does the act); the (act) is for the one for whom he did it." Narrated by Muslim.
