Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(وَعْدُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى عَلَى الطَّاعَةِ)
(Allah Almighty’s promise for obedience)
Hadith 5310
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: لَوْ أَنَّ عَبِيدِي أَطَاعُونِي لَأَسْقَيْتُهُمُ الْمَطَرَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَطْلَعْتُ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّمْسَ بِالنَّهَارِ وَلَمْ أُسْمِعْهُمْ صَوْتَ الرَّعدِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
It is narrated from Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Your Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, has said: If My servants obey Me, I will send rain upon them at night and make the sun shine upon them during the day, and I will not let them hear the sound of thunder." Its chain is weak, narrated by Ahmad.
