Hadith 5289
Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The wise person is the one who holds himself accountable and acts for what comes after death, and the foolish person is the one who lets his soul follow its desires and places hope upon Allah (that He is Forgiving and Merciful)." Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.
