Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(أَعْمَارُ أُمَّتِي بَيْنَ سِتِّينَ وَسَبْعِينَ سَنَةً)
(The lifespans of my nation are between sixty and seventy years)
Hadith 5279
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «عُمُرُ أُمَّتِي مِنْ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً إِلَى سَبْعِينَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The lifespan of my Ummah is between sixty and seventy years." (Tirmidhi), and he said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain is hasan, narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
