Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(المُسْلِمُ الَّذِي يَتَّقِي الذُّنُوبَ هُوَ وَلِيُّ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى)
(The Muslim who avoids sins is the friend of Allah Almighty)
Hadith 5265
وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ عَبْدَهُ الْمُؤْمِنَ الْفَقِيرَ الْمُتَعَفِّفَ أَبَا الْعِيَالِ» . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه
Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, Allah loves His believing servant who has dependents and, despite being in need, does not ask (others)." Its chain is weak; narrated by Ibn Majah.
