Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(الفُقَرَاءُ المَسَاكِينُ يَدْخُلُونَ الجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ الأَغْنِيَاءِ)
(The poor and destitute will enter Paradise before the rich)
Hadith 5233
وَعَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «قُمْتُ عَلَى بَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَكَانَ عَامَّةُ مَنْ دَخَلَهَا الْمَسَاكِينَ وَأَصْحَابُ الْجَدِّ مَحْبُوسُونَ غَيْرَ أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّارِ قَدْ أُمِرَ بِهِمْ إِلَى النَّارِ وَقُمْتُ عَلَى بَابِ النَّارِ فَإِذَا عَامَّةُ مَنْ دَخلهَا النِّسَاء» . مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the night of Mi'raj, I stood at the gate of Paradise and saw that most of those entering it were the poor, while the wealthy were held back, and the people of the Fire (i.e., the disbelievers) had been ordered to Hell. And I stood at the gate of Hell and saw that the majority of those entering it were women." Agreed upon.
