Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(فَضِيلَةُ الفُقَرَاءِ الصَّادِقِينَ وَبَيَانُ مُعَاشَرَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ)
(The virtue of sincere poor people and description of the companionship of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him)
Hadith 5231
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «رُبَّ أَشْعَثَ مَدْفُوعٍ بِالْأَبْوَابِ لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللَّهِ لَأَبَرَّهُ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم
Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Many a person with disheveled hair, who is turned away from doors, if he swears by Allah, Allah fulfills it for him." Narrated by Muslim.
