(الخَمْرُ أُمُّ جَمِيعِ الشُّرُورِ)
(Alcohol is the root of all evils)
Hadith 5212
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ: «الْخَمْرُ جِمَاعُ الْإِثْمِ وَالنِّسَاءُ حَبَائِلُ الشَّيْطَانِ وَحُبُّ الدُّنْيَا رَأْسُ كُلِّ خَطِيئَةٍ» قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: «أَخِّرُوا النِّسَاءَ حَيْثُ أَخَّرَهُنَّ اللَّهُ» . رَوَاهُ رزين
Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying during a sermon: "Wine is the sum of all sins, women are the snares of Satan, and the love of the world is the root and foundation of every sin." The narrator states: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Keep women behind as Allah has kept them behind." I did not find it; narrated by Razeen.
