Mishkat al-Masabih
كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(لَا يَجْمَعُ المَالَ إِلَّا مَنْ لَا عَقْلَ لَهُ)
(Only one without intellect accumulates wealth)
Hadith 5211
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الدُّنْيَا دَارُ مَنْ لَا دَارَ لَهُ وَمَالُ مَنْ لَا مَالَ لَهُ وَلَهَا يَجْمَعُ مَنْ لَا عَقْلَ لَهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي «شُعَبِ الْإِيمَان»
Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, narrates from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "The world is the home of the one who has no home, the wealth of the one who has no wealth, and only the one who is not wise gathers it (the world)." Its chain is weak; narrated by Ahmad and Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
