كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(بَيَانُ أَبْوَابِ الخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ)
(Description of the gates of good and evil)
Hadith 5208
وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ هَذَا الْخَيْرَ خَزَائِنُ لِتِلْكَ الْخَزَائِنِ مَفَاتِيحُ فَطُوبَى لِعَبْدٍ جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ مِفْتَاحًا لِلْخَيْرِ مِغْلَاقًا لِلشَّرِّ وَوَيْلٌ لَعَبْدٍ جَعَلَهُ اللَّهُ مِفْتَاحًا لِلشَّرِّ مِغْلَاقًا لِلْخَيْرِ» . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه
It is narrated from Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Indeed, there are treasures of goodness, and there are keys to these treasures. Glad tidings for the servant whom Allah has made a key (opener) for goodness and a lock for evil, and destruction for the servant whom Allah has made an opener for evil and a lock for goodness.” Its chain is very weak. Narrated by Ibn Majah.
