كتاب الرقاقThe Book of Heart-Softeners
(خَمْسَةُ أَسْئِلَةٍ يَجِبُ الإِجَابَةُ عَلَيْهَا يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ)
(Five questions that must be answered on the Day of Judgment)
Hadith 5197
وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَا تَزُولُ قَدَمَا ابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ خَمْسٍ: عَنْ عُمُرِهِ فِيمَا أَفْنَاهُ وَعَنْ شَبَابِهِ فِيمَا أَبْلَاهُ وَعَنْ مَالِهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ وَفِيمَا أَنْفَقَهُ وَمَاذَا عَمِلَ فِيمَا عَلِمَ؟ . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ
Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the feet of a person will not move (from the court of Allah) until he is questioned about five things: about his life—how he spent it; about his youth—where he wasted it; about his wealth—how he earned it and where he spent it; and about how much he acted upon the knowledge he had." Tirmidhi, and he said: This hadith is gharib. Its chain is weak. Narrated by al-Tirmidhi.
