Hadith 5186
وَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَيْسَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ حَقٌّ فِي سِوَى هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ: بَيْتٌ يَسْكُنُهُ وَثَوْبٌ يُوَارِي بِهِ عَوْرَتَهُ وجلف الْخبز وَالْمَاء . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
It is narrated from Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "A person has no right to anything except these three things: a house for residence, clothing to cover his nakedness, and bread and water." Its chain is Hasan. Narrated by Tirmidhi.
