كتاب الآدابThe Book of Manners
(مَنْ يَتَغَلَّبُ عَلَى غَضَبِهِ)
(The one who controls his anger)
Hadith 5116
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا تَجَرَّعَ عَبْدٌ أَفْضَلَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ جُرْعَةِ غَيْظٍ يكظمها اتبغاء وَجه الله تَعَالَى» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The servant who swallows a gulp of anger for the sake of Allah Almighty, that gulp is the best in the sight of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic." Its chain is weak, narrated by Ahmad.
